House Sit in Pennsylvania

Amid the challenges posed by the COVID-19 lockdowns and the inability to travel back to the UK to see family, I found myself contemplating a significant decision—to move back to my roots in Norfolk. Originally from this quaint region, I had ventured to NYC for university, expecting a brief stint that somehow extended to nine years.

Prior to the relocation, I left my apartment in NYC and embarked on a month-long housesit in Pennsylvania for my aunt and uncle. Taking Harley along for the journey, we assumed the roles of caretakers for Augie, the Lab Hound Mix; Barley, the Golden Retriever; Milo, the Mini Aussie; and Archie, the cat. This transitional period served as both a nice break from the city and a prelude to the adventures awaiting us in the UK.

The house had a pool and the dogs loved swimming, especially Barley who would beg for you to throw the ball over and over. We had several walks we did in rotation - the meadow, the creek, the nature reserve.
