First Foster Cat in NYC

After fostering several dogs and experiencing a shift in our work schedules, I decided to try fostering once again—this time, we opted to foster cats. Enter Piggy, a sweet street cat. While her rescue name wasn't Piggy, we renamed her due to the adorable snorting noises she made upon arrival.

Initially, Piggy was a bit timid, and we had to take a gentle approach, feeding her from inside the cozy cat cave. Slowly but surely, she began to emerge from her safe space, even trying to engage in play with our resident dog, Harley. Piggy developed a penchant for lying on the sofa and playing with Harley's toys, much to Harley's confusion.

A couple expressed interest in adopting Piggy and visited us. Despite her initial shyness around the new strangers in the home, they were delighted to learn how Piggy had comfortably settled in, making herself at home alongside me and Harley.
